Exchange 2016: Native Antispam and Native Antimalware with Exchange Online Protection (EOP) RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are in the process of upgrading from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2016. We currently use Forefront Protection 2010 on our Exchange 2010 servers which is end of life. We also use Exchange Online Protection (EOP) for hosted email filtering. We will continue to use EOP for Exchange 2016. Does anyone know if the native antispam and native antimalware that comes with Exchange 2016 is sufficient when combined with EOP? If it is not, could someone recommend a replacement for Forefront? Thanks!

Its basic, but works. I personally do not see the need to use a 3rd party solution.

  • Hi,

EOP is very good selection for Forefront, It’s enough along with Exchange native protection.

If you didn’t use EOP, it’s recommended to use a commercial anti-malware products that provide comprehensive protection like EOP.

    Hope it helps.
