    Hello , i recently saw SoundMAX on my add/remove program and i uninstalled it because i didnt know the use of it . Now my computer have no sound at all . I tried reinstalling it and the file is called 40k8511 from Microsoft . But it didnt work . Please help ? I am using a Windows XP .

    if you can remember the date you uninstalled SoundMax, go to START-ALLPROGRAMS-ACCESSORIES-SYSTEMTOOLS-SYSTEM RESTORE, SELECT  a restore point which should be a date before the day you uninstalled soundMax. this should do it. but note:this will also uninstall any software you installed after uninstalling SoundMax
