IE11 Load icon does not work on some login pages RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi ,

We have a peculiar issue using IE10/IE11. For some of my company intranet sites, We have to provide user name and password to login. When we provide the credentials and click on login , the load icon(the small rotating circle) does not show up. Instead it remains static causing the confusion to the user whether the login button has been clicked or not. i.e., when the login button is clicked , the web page remains static with no load icon getting displayed.

The same site works fine on chrome, as the page displays the loading icon after the login button is clicked on.

Can any one help me on this, as this is the complaint raised by few of the users.

Does this issue occur in all User using Internet Explorer 10 and Internet Explorer 11?

We could try to use Internet Explorer compatibility view to fix the site display problems.
    1. Tap or click the Tools button , and then tap or click Compatibility View settings.
    2. Under Add this website, enter the URL of the site you want to add to the list, and then tap or click Add.

If the issue is related to web development, we could contact the MSDN Internet Explorer development for help.
The professionals there will be glad to help you.

  • Hi,

it sounds like you may be using an old version of jquery... try updating to a later version (see http://jquery.com for the recommended versions for your windows versions).

Please post questions about html, css and scripting to http://stack-overflow.com. If possible include with your questions a link to your website.
