How could I time the download of images in a Word 2010 document?

  Hi,
  
  I send out very large Word files to client's computers that are on dial-up modem. I include pictures in the Word file that are located on our server/website. 
  
  Their computers often become overwhelmed while downloading all of the photos. Is there any way that I can set up a Word 2010 document to download one picture and then 5 minutes later download another picture? The photo download could be timed.
  
  Perhaps there is some way to download the picture once the user scrolls upon the photo?
  
  Is there any way to do this?
