Merge two VHDs into one RRS feed

  • I am successfully use "Convert Physical Server" to create VM of a Server 2003.

    The original physical server have one harddisk only (Disk 0) with 2 partitions C: and D: 

    But on the VM, two partition separated to 2 disks: disk0 (C:) and disk1 (D:).

    How could I merge Disk0 and Disk1 into Disk0 as in the physical server in VMM?

    I am using Windows Server 2008 R2 + Hyper-V Manager Version 6.1

  • Hello,

    You can expand the capacity for disk0, and then create a new partition.

    Then, you can copy the data from disk 1 to the new partition.

    After you complete the data copy, you can delete disk 1, and set the drive letter as D: for the new partition.
