Translator in SFB client

Question
-
I know their is a Bing translator plugin to provide language translation option at Skype for business client end. But its not secure as it sends data to Bing translator engine for conversion.
Does anyone knows any product which we can use On-premises and can be integrated with Skype ?

Hi strike 11,
Based on my research, it seems that there is no other product can integrate with skype for business for translation so far.
MS is recommended to use the translation plug in for SFB, it won’t leak your personal information
Moreover, I will share a you how to use translator plug in for SFB
Best Regards,
Alice Wang

Thanks Alice for your reply. I know about this plugin for SfB. However I am looking for some other services apart from using Bing translator due to security concerns. As data send to Bing translator is not encrypted.

Hi,
Thanks for your response.
Based on my research, I find a similar case, Conversation Translator add-in is not working for the users in the SFB Server 2015 Environment using the SFB 2016 Client.
It has looked into the referenced domain cloudapp.net and it appears that it has been shut down. They were presented as a demonstration of the “new” Lync 2010 SDK and were not considered officially supported. Since Lync 2010 is outside of mainstream support, the site has been decommissioned.
The code used to produce that add-in is available as a part of the Lync 2013 SDK, and it would be possible for you to update, compile and host it yourself, and then you can just update your workstations to point to your hosting location for the Conversation Window Extension.
Lync 2013 SDK: (Lync 2013 SDK is supported with SFB 2015/2016)
