New Portal - Request New User RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear all,

In the new portal they added a new request, Request New User.

This is excellent, but my question is, how to remove it as we will not use it ?

With Visual Studio we can find to hide SoftwareLink and PasswordLink under Misc but not NewUserLink.

I tryed also to add ShowRequestNewUser="False" without success.

    Any idea ?

    Regards.

    Johann

  • Hi,

It is not possible to do this with WebPart parameters in master page. You have to comment out some code in HomePageTasks class and rebuild the WebParts project in Visual Studio.

  • Hi,

This is really strange that they did not think to add the same "option" to disable that like reset password or request software.

    Anyway, thanks for your help.

  • No, there is no update. Try to get in touch with the product team, maybe they will be willing to fix it. It is a minor change anyway.

  • Guys, you have the Source Code. So you can do ANYTHING that you want. And the "Request New USer" just a example, so you probaly must change some code before place it in your test lab, especcialy in prodaction.
