Outlook Hanging

    Question

  • Hi,

    Some of our users are having problem with Outlook 2013 which hangs and stops responding many times while connected to Exchange 2013.

    Windows 7 Pro 64bit.

    Any Suggestions?

    At which exact point will Outlook client hangs/stops responding, e.g. when send or new a message? Have you checked in the Event Viewer and see if there is anything useful recorded?

    Some general steps you might want to have a try:

    1. Start Outlook in safe mode: Press Win + R and type "outlook.exe /safe" in the blank box, then press Enter. This will help to determine whether the issue was caused by any third party add-ins.
    2. Install any available updates. It is highly recommended to keep your current up to date.
