How to load hours then get a histogram RRS feed

  • Question

  • I want to

    1) load hours per task (against detail and/or summary activities)  (NB:I can see how to enter work hours against detail tasks)

    2) see a histogram of the hours over time - how?

MSP seems to only be set up for named people, not hours

  • Hello,

    1.  You can manually export the timephased data and create an Excel graph by hour.  This can be tedious at best.

    2.  Create a Visual Report template with the data that you could call up each time you wanted to review it.

    3.  Create VBA code that will do it automatically.  Rod Gilll's book has a procedure in it that does something similar to what you want to accomplish, although it is by day and not by hour.

    Hope this helps some.

  • Hi,

Why not assign a (dummy if necessary) resource to tasks before or after assigning Work?

If a resource is assigned to the task(s), a histogram of the resource's load can be seen in the Resource Graph view.

    Greetings,
