RevoScaleR and MicrosoftML Package Errors on Startup RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have installed Microsoft R Client 3.3.3. When I open RStudio I get the following message:

Error : .onLoad failed in loadNamespace() for 'RevoScaleR', details:
      call: NULL
      error: file.exists(defaultDataDir) is not TRUE
Error : .onLoad failed in loadNamespace() for 'RevoScaleR', details:
      call: NULL
      error: file.exists(defaultDataDir) is not TRUE
    In addition: Warning message:
package ‘RevoScaleR’ in options("defaultPackages") was not found
    During startup - Warning message:
package ‘MicrosoftML’ in options("defaultPackages") was not found
    [Workspace loaded from ~/.RData]

and the following error messages when trying to load the packages:

    library("RevoScaleR", lib.loc="C:/Programs/Microsoft/R_SERVER/library")
Error : .onLoad failed in loadNamespace() for 'RevoScaleR', details:
      call: NULL
      error: file.exists(defaultDataDir) is not TRUE
Error: package or namespace load failed for ‘RevoScaleR’

    and:

    library("MicrosoftML", lib.loc="C:/Programs/Microsoft/R_SERVER/library")
    Loading required package: RevoScaleR
Error : .onLoad failed in loadNamespace() for 'RevoScaleR', details:
      call: NULL
      error: file.exists(defaultDataDir) is not TRUE
Error: package ‘RevoScaleR’ could not be loaded

Have others had similar problems and what is the resolution? We have installed MRC into C:/Programs/ instead of the provided C:/Program Files/ in the installer. Could this be causing the problems?

    Thanks.
