Problem with HTML5 video 'ended' event IE11,IE10 and IE9 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I developed a custom HTML5 video player with custom controls( forward, backward, stop play and pause). I am calling the video ended function to display another html page when the video completes and it works fine in all browsers

But when I try to seek the video from starting point to end point of the video using custom seekbar ,video ended function not firing in IE9, IE10 and IE11 and works fine in Chrome and firefox.

I think problem is with IE.

  • Hi,

post feedback and bug reports to the IETeam at http://connect.microsoft.com/ie

Include with your feedback a link to your website or a mashup that shows the issue.

Bear in mind that IETeam triage will consider bugs in high volume web sites more important.

A possible workaround for your creation is to use a different design pattern that does not use the onended method.

Also in MSIE browsers, navigation and popup outcomes (scripted windows/tabs) are affected by IE's security zone settings, popup blocker settings (in-built and third party).

Post questions about html, css and scripting for website development to http://stackoverflow.com... again... include a link to your website or mashup with your questions.
