Windows 7 Ultimate vs Pro RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am a new Technet subscriber using this forum for the first time:

I have a client who resently updated a 3rd party application and found that he could no longer function in the online portion of that app. The 3rd party app tech support now is pointing to Ultimate as being the problem even though they did not encounter this challenge from installation thru several updates in the last 6 months. Is there a way to pare out some portion of Ultimate that would make it as if Pro was being used?

  • Hi,

For more information about the difference between Windows 7 Professional and Windows 7 Ultimate, please refer to the following webpage:

    Compare Windows 7

As the issue is about the third party application, please also contact the support of the software for help.

    Thanks.
