Get report of all enabled monitors for devices in SCOM monitoring RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

Am newbie to SCOM, can someone help with steps on how to get report of all monitors applied for devices in SCOM monitoring. Thought i could query individual device monitored using 'show running rules and monitors for this health service' from SCOM operations console, but my interest is to get report for all the device in SCOM monitoring at once.

    Thanks in Advance,

    Sagar K N

  • Hi Sagar,

this is a request we get a lot here. The best way to get such report is to use a PowerShell script, developed exactly for that. Besides showing your the monitors, you get alslo all rules and discoveries (workflows), which are applied on either a single computer (SCOM agent) or on a group of computers. The report is generated in CSV format and you can easily filter only the stuff you need (monitor for example):

    Here it is:

SCOM: Export Effective Monitoring Configuration with PowerShell

You ca read also in the script what parameters you can use while executing it.

I hope I could help you out.
