Business Intellegence Excel Reporting Problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to use the Business Intelligence function of Project Server 2010 to create an Excel sheet on resource usage. The problem is, I can not seem to find a field in any of the data sources for Day. Below is what I have so far, and would like to be able to drill down one more level from month to day. There are fields for Year and Month, but no day available in any of the pivot tables. Does anyone have any advice on what I can do to achieve this?

  • Hi,

Generally the Day information is in the "TIME" dimension.. not sure which cube you are using, but if you have TIME, then you should be able to drill down.

I have just created a similar BI report using the OlapPortfolioAnalyzer cube.  Using the Time dimension, I can show Work and Capacity information at the daily level.  In the future, it would really help if you told us which report or OLAP cube you are trying to use in your BI report.  Hope this helps.
