Unblocking senders RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have blocked a sender by mistake so i removed the sender from the "blocked senders" list but i still dont receive them. I added the sender address in my contacts, and in the "safe senders" list, still not receiving. I tried all the supported browsers with compatible versions for Outlook Web, i also tried with Outlook Desktop latest version and I selected "No automatic filtering". I sent an email with the "Delivery Receipt" option and it got delivered to outlook.com exchange server but not to my inbox. Finally i filled a form to remove the sender address from the blacklist but microsoft said they dont see anything that would prevent email delivery.

  • Hi John,

If an address is added to the Block Senders list, you can still receive emails from it but outlook will move emails from this sender to Junk Email folder. Please check if emails from this sender were moved to Junk.

In addition to Junk folder, we can also check folders like Deleted or use Search feature to see if you can find these emails.

If you really didn't receive these emails on web mail, Outlook will also not show these emails. This could be more related with your Outlook.com account. In this case, I'd like to recommend you post this thread in Outlook.com forum as here we mainly focus on issues regarding Outlook desktop client.

The reason why we recommend posting appropriately is you will get the most qualified pool of respondents, and other partners who read the forums regularly can either share their knowledge or learn from your interaction with us.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

    Regards,

    Perry

  • Hi John,

If you are not receiving emails from web mail at all, you can post in Outlook.com forum to see if they have any good ideas about it.

If emails are only invisible in Outlook client, you can post back with more details so that we can help you better.

    Regards,

    Perry
