IE 9 Compatibility View Settings - remove entry set by GPP RRS feed

  • Question

  • We were testing a Group policy preference to add the binary registry key for [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\BrowserEmulation\ClearableListData] UserFilter, which successfully added the entries we wanted to the IE 9 Compatibility View list.  However, we determined we did not want to use one of the URLs in compatibility view as it was breaking something else. When overwriting the same UserFilter registry key with the binary data for just one URL, it did not remove the latest entry that we don't want to use.

Is there any way to automatically remove that entry without having a user manually delete the url from the Compatibility View Settings list from the tools menu in IE 9?  I have seen many ways to add to the list, but nothing relating to removing the entry automatically.  Our environment is Windows 7 SP1 x64 with IE 9; 2008 AD domain.  Thanks for your help!
