Accessing R library from Visual Studio thrugh . NET C# programming RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I'd like to develop a R statistics dll to use from a windows based program written by C# in Visual Studio. So this DLL would be an statistical calculations library for the main program. Therefore I need a .Net interface to access R library routines using C# in VS. There is an open source interface called R.NET but its development is frozen more than a year and it is buggy.  I could not find a proper .NET interface. Any pointers would be appreciated.

  • The only ones I'm aware of are R.Net to call R from .Net and the RClr package to go the other way.  The codeplex pages on both of these are the best reference.  (http://rdotnet.codeplex.com/, https://rclr.codeplex.com/)
