how to check whether a shutdown.exe command runs in the background? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,
I've recently made a nice, small and useful app for my pc to schedule a shutdown. (using c# in visual studio 2012)
I've used the shutdown.exe command (with he different tags for different uses).
What i cannot find, and I've looked all through the web and the msdn help files, is a script to run to see if such a command already runs in the background.
Is it possible that such command does not exists and we are doomed to either use the -a tag each time then restart the command to know that indeed the computer has a planned shutdown?
If the option to check it does exist, how can i call it?
    Thank you,
    Maor

  • Hi,

    you could check using wmic.

start run > cmd > type wmic then hit enter > type process

you should be able to see the shutdown processes
