    For Outlook 2016 Desktop, file/account settings/email accounts/change - there is no longer an option for more settings to change the mail server in IMAP account settings. 

    Also, I deleted the account and and selected manual setup when creating it, but Outlook still sets it up automatically and does not give an option to assign mail servers for an IMAP account.

    Exchange accounts work fine, but the IMAP accounts do not have options to configure mail servers.

    Hi,

    We can close Outlook, go to Control Panel > Mail, click Email Accounts... button, click to select your IMAP account and click Change... button, this should show the advanced settings you want.

    If you prefer the older, familiar dialog, we can turn off the simplified version and revert to the older Add Account dialog by editing the registry. Please refer to the details in this link.
