CD DVD Drives do not recognise any disk RRS feed

  • Neither of my CD/DVD drives will allow me to look at the contents of any CD or DVD. It just comes up with the menu "Please insert a disk into drive -----. This means I cannot read the contents of any disk within Windows Explorer. Please help

    It could be a driver, a dirty lens on the player, etc.  I would start by re-installing the driver.  If that doesnt help CAUTIOUSLY use compressed air to blow off the lens.

  • Clear the CDROM drive with cleaning disk. Or get the head/reader checked from vendor if still doesn't work.
