Word 2010 and opening edited doc from webdav server RRS feed

  • Question

  • Here's the situation:

User1 creates a new Word 2010 document and saves it to the mapped network drive via webdav.  User2 opens the document through mapped network drive via webdav, edits the document, and saves it.  User2's edited document is saved to the webdav server and appears on that server as having replaced User1's document.  When User1 attempts to open the User2 edited version of the document, the "details" show User2's edit information, but Word 2010 opens the document as last saved by User1.   Even if User1 downloads the document directly from the webdav server and saves the User2 edited version to desktop, opening the direct download document opens in Word as the last version saved by User1.

    What would be causing this?
