  • Question

  • Hi I am a total tech newb. I am using Powershell for the first time and am referring to a website called ProgrammingHistorian. It recommends in a tutorial to use the cmdlet rm to remove a directory. When i type in rm i received a response which asked me for to supply values for the following parameters and i dont know why or how to get out of the request as it keeps on asking for paths?

    Thanks in advance

  • Hello,

you can use the below command

     Remove-Item -Path C:\Temp\test.txt

or if you just want to use the same "RM" command

enter the paths after u finished press "Enter Key"
