Will there be a MRO Release for version 3.6 or later? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

i am the application owner and supporter of everything R-related in my company. As it made sense for us that everybody (approx. 200 active R users) in my company has the same packages and configuration and we do a lot of mathematical and statistical calculations, we went for Microsoft R Open with its repository snapshots and faster math libraries instead of plain R.

However, meanwhile MRO with its latest version 3.5.3 is seven versions behind "plain R" with latest version 4.0.2 and we are heavily discussing whether to drop MRO for plain R or stick with it.

Hence my question: Is MRO officially discontinued or will there be future releases? Is there anybody in this forum that  can give me a reliable statement?

    Regards and thank you

    Thomas

"There's an MRO update based on R 4.0.2 in internal testing right now; I'll announce the external test on the Revolutions blog soon."
