This is because DPM is not synchronized with the current state of the library. (ID: 24077) RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have been receiving this error message of and on for about 2 weeks now. Any clue what may be causing it?

    DPM 2007, Version 2.0.8864.0, Server 2008 64bit.

The back up to tape job failed for the following reason: (ID: 3311)

DPM failed to mount the tape Data-LT-1Days-Copy0-00000846 (ADL263L4) in drive Hewlett Packard LTO Ultrium-4 drive (HU182327BF) for the library Quantum PX500 Series Medium Changer. This is because DPM is not synchronized with the current state of the library. (ID: 24077)

It only happens on one drive which is our largest. Approximately 1 TB.

    Thanks

  • It happens if the DPM issued a Dismount command to Drive and some how library failed to do it. And the next media mount fails with the above error.

It could be due to media changer/tape drive driver issue.

And I dint understand the later part of the question with 1TB size? can you elaborate?

    Thanks,
