Copying a .INI file to multiple computers. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Guys,

I want to copy a specific file (.ini) to 13 computers in one hit.

    Origin: Network share  Destination: C:\Windows\

I know xCopy is the probably the best way to do it but what would be the easiest way to do this?

I would prefer to use a .bat file and manually run it when required.

    Thanks.

  • Hi,

    something like this should work:

    FOR %%A IN (pc1 pc2 pc3) DO copy \\server\share\file.ini "\\%%A\c$\windows\file.ini"

I tried it 2 PC's and seems to have worked.

Thank you so much for that.
