People picker displays old profile RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

In our company we used to have an employee with the username "domain\ande", but this employee left the company a while ago. In a few weeks we will have a new employee in our company that will be using the same username (domain\ande).

This account is already active in Active Directory. Now, when we use a People Picker in our SharePoint 2007 environment, and we choose the new employee (the one that will be joining us in a few weeks), it will still pick the employee that left us a while ago.

In the popup from the people picker, the name and email adress is displayed correctly, but when we press the "ok" button, it will always show the old employee.

Any ideas on how to solve this issue?

    Kind regards,

  • What do you see when you search for the same account in User profiles and properties under SSP ? does it show Correct details there?

If it is correct under user profiles and you are having issues on a particular site. Then please check if the old account is visible under all people/site permissions of that site. If yes, remove the account from the site completely and then try re-adding the account.

    Hope this helps
