  • Initial thoughts is that the application pool for WinProj.svc is unresponsive.

Have you tried an IISRESET in cmd?

Can you browse the service directly: http://<servername>/420b3019835344b986ad024c2a6695a8/PSI/WinProj.svc

If you go to the 15 hive can you find the file WinProj.svc file?

  • Hello there! I am having a problem trying to connect Project Pro2013 from PWA2013. The funniest thing is that we have another PWA2013 on a different farm and...it works!. I see somehow your problem can be connected...did you get any update on that? Thanks in advance :)

  • Hi Krizz how are you?

I checked the folder 15 and I can not find the .svc file, just the exe.

As I explained, I can connect normally in another case that is different farm.

For this case, I found a tricky way that of course is not a final solution: try to open a project profesional from start-programs.. and minimize it.Now go to pwa and try again to edit in MS Project profesional...fopr me it works... crazy! :(

  • Action 1:

I hope you are not on delegation, Otherwise simply stop acting as a delegate in PWA and Project Pro will launch using your credentials.

    select RES_NAME,RES_ACTING_AS_UID from pub.msp_resources where WRES_ACCOUNT='domain\user'

Ensure the value as NULL for RES_ACTING_AS_UID field

    Action 2:

Is it occurring for all the users or only to you?

Did you try on different browser using your account? (Chrome, Firefox ..etc)

Did you check the behavior using different workstation?

  • Hi

I had a similar type of issue couple of things I would check.

1.Memory on the server - performance. Server may be running very low on memory

    2. Environment has been patched or upgraded and SharePoing Config wiz was not run on all the server after patch upgrade or installation.
