MOSS 2007 Calendar View, Export to SpreadSheet customizing the fields RRS feed

  • Question

  • The Calendar View in MOSS 2007 for (Task List, Custom List etc.,) randomly exports columns when using the "Export to SpreadSheet" option.  It includes the "Start Date" and "End Date" but ignores all the other columns that we have customized.  And sometimes, it exports additional columns as well.

When we switch to the "All Items" view and export, all the columns come as expected.  Its only in the Calendar View, it just exports 4 columns out of which 2 columns are the junk "Item Type" and "Path" columns.

Is there a way to control the columns that are exported when in Calendar View?

  • Hi Harish,

Item Type and Path columns would export to the excel file no matter it is exported from a custom view or calendar view. Please delete it in Excel file if they are unneeded.

And the export logic was handled on Excel Side, so there is no SharePoint OOB way to prevent them export to excel.

    Best regards. Emir
