UAG Appliance writes a file to C:\$Recycle.Bin\S-1-5-21-603093036-1714032691-2016215352-18698\$RRU5SRK.bin RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have a UAG appliance that opens and starts writing to a file in the recycle bin.  The filename is RRU5SRK.BIN.  According to the Task Manager Resource Monitor, the System process (PID 4) is writing to the file at a rate of 3,500 B/sec.  The file size is 419430400 bytes (400 meg) and the file size appears to be consistent.

We initially thought that the UAG Trace Monitor was the app that was writing to the file but that does not appear to be the case.

Anyone have any idea about what this file is or how to figure it out?
