lync server 2010 configure dial plan for dial out from cambodia to overseas RRS feed

  • Dear All ,

    I really wonder with some partem of dial plan ,I don't know how to configure it ,

    i have connect phone line frome camintel (telecomunication company) and i have lync server 2010 phone system infrastructure build in my network and then to create one dial plan the can allow all lync user can dial out with

    189(+)9423456789 = 189 is country code that camintel provide for call out to overseas , + is IDD , 94 is country code of Sri Lanka , 2345789 is local number phone ,have any body know "what should dial plan of 189+9423456789 is ?"

  • Ok, so it sounds like you can ask your users to dial 1899423456789 (using your example from before). In that case there is probably no point in normalizing this number. I think the simplest option is just ask the user to dial the entire number, 1899423456789. If you do this then all you have to make sure is that there is a pattern to match this in your route configuration. Using the following regular express ^189\+ will match the pattern and then you just need to associate the right gateway and PSTN usage etc.

  • Are you sure those dialing patterns are correct? Cambodia typically uses 001 for international direct dialing so I am assuming that your provider is some kind of competitive telco which requires 189 to be prepended to the number so that the call is routed to them. Is this correct? If so are your users used to dialing 001 for an international call and do you want to match this behavior to make it easier for your users? So for example for a call to Sri Lanka would your user normally dial 001 94 23456789?

    For camintel they use 189 is the country code for dial out to overseas ,by just type example :=>189+country code of LK + Local number and then they can dial withoug enter with +9423456789

    Can i type with the 1899423456789 to dial out and what is the dial plan formard
