  • Why do the  Select a Power Plan functions sometimes become unavailable , and what process brings them back?

    It seems that some of your power management settings, or the registry keys that are associated with those settings, have been deleted or corrupted.


    Try to restore power options to the original default settings:


    1.       Click Start, type cmd in the start search box.

    2.       From the programs list right click on cmd and select Run as Administrator.

    3.       At the command prompt window type PowerCfg –RestoreDefaultSchemes and press Enter.


    Also, you could try system restore to get back to a good time point.
