IE8 Version? How do I tell if it's 32 bit or 64 bit? RRS feed

  • Question

  • MSN games, entertainment, goes into loop.  Evidently I need Flash Player 10.  Adobe says NOT AVAILABLE.

What is the escape?  Reload entire drive?

  • If you're running Win7 X64, normally both 32 and 64 bit versions of IE8 are installed by default. The 64 bit version is labelled.

If you use the 64 bit version to go to www.adobe.com and the Flash player download page, you should be offered a link to download a beta version of Flash 11. That may work for you.

It's generally simpler to use the 32 bit version of IE, though. That accepts the normal Flash plugins.
