Changing protection from stand alone hyperv to cluster (DPM 2012 SP1 RU 3 v2) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi guys,

Simple question, that I need some help with. Thanks in advance.

I'm moving vm's protection from single Hyperv computers to a clustered platform.

From what I could read, the procedure should be, disable protection, refresh DPM so we receives the changes on the "platform" and re-protect as a clustered source.

I also thought no space changes would exist, but DPM keeps charging me for more space even thought he re-protects the inactive sources, keeping previous recovery points.

    what's the catch ?

Edit: Forgot to mention that when I re-protect the updated data, DPM synchronizes the replica with a "performing post-recovery operations" tag.
