Setting a default website in Microsoft Edge when opening for first time.... RRS feed

  • Question

  • When we open Internet Explorer, it defaults to opening a single tab pointing to our company intranet.  When i open Microsoft Edge (either classic or new), i get what looks like a bing search page (but no URL so maybe its a local page).  How do i configure Microsoft Edge to always open our intranet site when first launched?  And are the settings different for classic Edge from new Edge? If so, can you send both instructions?  Finally, is such a thing as a "home button" in Microsoft Edge like we have in Internet Explorer?  I dont see one in new Edge.  Havent looked for one in classic Edge yet.  The home button also points to our intranet in IE and i'd like to have it be displayed in Edge (both versions) and point to our Intranet.  Thanks for the assist in advance!

  • You could set startup site easily from here on new version Edge:

Also, enable Show home button option and you will see Home icon in Edge:
