SCCM 2012 - PXESetup.log file?

Question
-
Hi,
we are looking for the PXESetup.log file in SCCM 2012.
We tried to look for it on the primary/secondary and even dedicated distribution point but couldn't find it anywhere.
In case there's a problem with PXE setup we couldn't find any errors related to that install.

I'm pretty sure there is no pxesetup.log. Because PXE is now simply part of the DP, there's nothing dedicated to its setup.
From http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh427342.aspx#BKMK_OSDLog :
Distmgr.log
Records details about the configuration of enabling a distribution point for PXE.

If you look under the folder SMS_DP$ -> sms -> logs, there's a logfile called smsdpprov.log.
There you should be able to see the PXE installation.
Here is a part from one of my DP's:

Hi,
Have you looked in the the C:\windows or Windows\system32 directory? I think I remeber reading somewhere that the log file could be created there instead.

Actually the SMSPXE.log still exists.

The above discussion was not about smspxe.log, it was about pxesetup.log which was a distinct log file in 2007 that tracked the initial setup of PXE services. The information above is correct.Jason | http://blog.configmgrftw.com
