Active Directory user account not login RRS feed

    I have a user who has logged in to her machine in the morning.

    By afternoon, she went for a break by locking the desktop. When came to unlock, it says user name or password is incorrect.

    Our Group policy for password set as for Every 45 days. the user still has 7 days for password expiry.

    The Adsiedit user properties shows this correcty with password lastset option.

    We didnt enable any Account lockout option. Set only with 0 attempts.

    What could be the reason for her not allowing to login...

    From where i can find the reason for this...

    I can very well reset the password and give it. But need to know the real reason in the background.

    This happened for one user or all users?

    Is there any event logs?

    Please make sure to enter the correct password.

  • No. this is happening only for one particular user.

    The user says the same password what she typed in the morning to login has been used now .

    we are forced to trust her.

    There were no event logs.

    You can track user activities on a computer. When you use auditing, you can specify which events are written to the Security log.
