Gigabyte F2A85X-UP4 16gb installed 12 showing RRS feed

  • So I have just built a computer with the motherboard listed above. I have 3 ram sticks 2 four gb and 1 eight gb and it appears that 4 gb ram isnt showing. previously  i had only the 2 4Gb sticks installed and only 7.1Gb was showing.

  • You need to contact Gigabyte Technical Support to determine if your DRAM configuration you indicate is supported.  Have you checked in your user manual to see if this configuration is supported?  Most current motherboards do not support the installation of 3 memory sticks.  The standards is either 1, 2, or 4.

    Some of your memory is allocated to the on-board video by the BIOS.  Your situation is best addressed by Gigabyte Technical Support.
