  • Question

  • I created a new user called sales a few months ago with a mailbox on my SBS2008 server running Exchange 2007 but for some reason all the new users I've created after cant see the mailbox and I have given them full permissions, I have tried creating a new offline address book but still having no joy

    can anyone shed some light?

    Thanks

What does "can't see" mean? The certainly don't need any special
permission to "see" the mailbox in the GAL or OAB!

Since you mentione cereating a new OAB, I'll assume the problem is
that the Outlook clients are using cached-mode. If you take one of the
out of cached-mode do they "see" the mailbox? If the do, find the
*.oab files on their machine and delete them. Then put Outlook back in
cached-mode, restart it, and download the address book. Do the *.oab
files reappear? If they don't you have a problem with downloading the
OAB (assuming the OAB is being generated). Are you distributing the
OAB through public folders or throught the CAS servers? Are there
errors generating the OAB? Is the OAB being replicated to the CAS?
