set background as "icons?" RRS feed

    I'm not really sure if this is the right place for this kind of question, but I dont know where else to put it. hopefully I'm atleast close.


    someone once showed me a long time ago how to set the desktop background as different icons. thats what he called it anyway. basically, you could put as few or as many pictures as you want as a background and you would not be able to change what you see on the screen by just using the change background options. you couldnt actually click the icons, it just looked like it was a part of the background, but when in actuallity it wasnt. I'm wondering how you might go about doing that. I saw it done on windows xp, but I'd assume it could be done on vista also. I'm wondering how to do it on both operating systems. thanks in advance for any help.
