  • Hi

After migration from PS 2010 to 2013, I'm getting this error, when Publish any Project or create a new one, also when try to Bulk Edit Workspace, I'm getting too...

Reporting message processor failed:◦ReportingProjectChangeMessageFailed (24006) - Cannot open database "XXX_ProjectWebApp" requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user 'DOMAIN\ProjAdmin'.. Details: id='24006' name='ReportingProjectChangeMessageFailed' uid='0c147a25-bdc2-e311-9419-00155d16d31b' QueueMessageBody='Project UID='9056b609-bdc2-e311-9419-00155d16d31b'. PublishType='ProjectPublish'' Error='Cannot open database "XXX_ProjectWebApp" requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user 'DOMAIN\ProjADMIN'.'.

ReportingProjectChangeMessageFailed (24006) - Cannot open database "XXX_ProjectWebApp" requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user 'DOMAIN\ProjADMIN'.. Details: id='24006' name='ReportingProjectChangeMessageFailed' uid='0f147a25-bdc2-e311-9419-00155d16d31b' QueueMessageBody='Project UID='9056b609-bdc2-e311-9419-00155d16d31b'. Account used for this, is owner over ProjectWebApp DB

Additional Info, before upgrade, December CU was installed.

    Any idea?

  • Hello,

As a test, please can you temporarily make that account SYSadmin in SQL and retry? The account doesn't need sysadmin but lets see if it works.

  • Hi,

Have you provided any explicit permissions for the account on the databases? Can you navigate to User Properties and check whether the account is having DB_owner permissions on the DB?
