Connect to Salesforce Sandbox RRS feed

  • Question

  • I love that we can connect to Salesforce Production, but I'm not seeing how to connect to our sandbox environments.  We're using Power Query as an ETL tool and need to join MS Access data with data in our Salesforce sandbox.  The domain of all Salesforce sandboxes is "test.salesforce.com" but Power Query seems to only allow me to use "login.salesforce.com" or a Salesforce custom domain for Production.

Is there a configuration file or screen where I can adjust the domain that Power Query uses?

Answers

  • You can pass the alternate login URL as a parameter to the Salesforce functions:
    Salesforce.Data("https://test.salesforce.com") or
    Salesforce.Reports("https://test.salesforce.com")

There isn't any explicit UI support for this yet, so you'll have to edit the formula directly.
