Enabling/Installing IE10 in Windows 8.1 RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I need to install IE10 on windows 8.1 as our web based software does not support IE11. As i turned off IE11 from Windows Features mentioned below and tried to install IE10 from standalone installer it gives the message "IE did not finish installing, IE10 is already installed on this system." Please share thoughts to enable or install IE10 in Windows 8.1 easily.

What you did hides IE and its shortcuts.  Only.  Windows 8.1 has IE11 as its base level of browser functionality.  You can not uninstall it to go to a lower version.  All you can do is use an emulation.  The newest options in that regard are in a feature called Enterprise Mode.

  • Hello,

It is not possible to downgrade your IE version in Windows 8.1. Also, IE 11 should support your web based software.
