IE 11 frequently stops RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am using an HP Pavilion dv7 with Windows Home Premium, 543 GB free disk space, and IE 11, V 11.0.19 (KB3049563).

When using IE, it frequently stops, gives me a pop-up window saying it stopped, then restarts, messing up what I'm doing at the time.

In a previous posting, I was asked to find Stopped Working Errors and post the details.  I have 3 different ones, out of the 30 listed on my computer, I copied and here they are:  (Thanks for any help with this.  Larry)

  • The error points to the atidxx32.dll:

    Fault Module Name:                        atidxx32.dll

    Fault Module Version:                      8.17.10.30

The atidxx32.dll is a component of the AMD graphic driver so try updating the AMD graphic driver to the most recent version.

  • I did that and the system froze.  I had a computer expert come out and work on the system and it seems to be OK so far.

    Thanks for the reply, though.
