Active Sync does not synchronize e-mail on the mailbox created on a new information store RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have Exchange 2003 farm with frontend\backend.
Active sync does not signal any error during synchronization but does not sync only new items on the mailbox created on a new information store [NO default information store].
If I move the mailbox on DEFAULT information store, synchronization of the new e-mail works fine; if I move the mailbox on the NEW information store I have the problem again.
Using the Microsoft utility https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/, that counts the GetItemEstimate = new e-mail + old e-mail (eg. 60) but the voice that indicates the items to sync does not count the new e-mail (eg. 45 to sync, old e-mail only).

There are some special configuration to do on NEW information store to ensure that the active sync works?

    Hi,

First, I would like to confirm the following questions:

    1. Does the issue occur on certain mailbox or each mailbox?

    2. What’s the brand or model of the phone? Does the issue occur on other phone?

Based on my research, there is no specific configuration after creating a new database. At this stage, I suggest you create a new database and move the problematic mailbox on the new created database to check the result.

If the issue persists, please collect the following log file and post it here or send it to me for research.

    a. Click "start" -- "adminstrative tools" -- Internet Information Services

    b. Right-click "default web site" -- properties

    c. In "web site" tap, click "enable logging", select log format to "W3C"

    d. Please reproduce this issue.

    e. the log will be generated in \windows\system32\logfile\w3svc1\exyymmdd.log

    f. Select the current log, compress to *.zip or *.rar file.

    Thanks.

    Novak

  • Hi Alessia

No, there are no special configs to do.
Did you already tried to create another new database?
Do you have this problem with all users or only one specific user?

    Regards
