APP-V and RDP Licenses RRS feed

  • Question

  • OK, Here's the question. We are implementing the use of RD  for Quickbooks multi-user environment. Our reseller sends us a CD with APP-V which is suppose to have RD Cals but its a no go. The problem is that I dont see anyway to install the RDP cals using the licensing manager for RD using this APP-V program.  Help!!!

  • RDS CALs are not something that's included on a CD. These are separate to any App-V installer or infrastructure.

I'd suggest reading up more on RDS Licensing:

An RDS CAL includes the rights to App-V for use on the Remote Desktop Session Host. So you need to purchase the RDS CALs (per-user or per-device) and install the RDS license on an RD Licensing Server (as outlined in the links above).

App-V does not include any specific licensing infrastructure for you to deploy.

  • Hello,

I would contact the reseller, or a Microsoft representative, regarding the matter.
