OTP notification from a different source email address? RRS feed

  • Hi,

    When the OTP email is sent, it is sent from the FIMService account.

    Is there a way to change this, so that these OTP messages appear to originate from something like the 'Help Desk' email address? Or perhaps change the 'Reply To' field?

  • It looks like its possible with an Exchange address rewrite, using something like this as an example:

    New-AddressRewriteEntry -Name "Address rewrite entry for david@contoso.com" -InternalAddress david@contoso.com -ExternalAddress david@northwindtraders.com

    Will test and revert.

  • while workin on that activity....you can change the EMAIL TEMPLATE.

    like i change it to Rakesh Verma.

    In body- you can change accordingly.

  • Changing e-mail template will change e-mail body. From address is based on FIM Service configuration as FIM is sending its e-mail with e-mail address provided in service configuration.

  • thank you, yes it looks like Address Rewrite will need to be performed on the Edge Transport server role.
