TMG and MOSS 2007 Translating Navigation Bar site links to other internal site collections within the same web application RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are having a problem with TMG and MOSS 2007 configuration.  We can login to MOSS through TMG no problem, its when we try and use our navigation links to other internal site collections on the same web application we get access denied.  However,  if I were to type in the path of the site and login no problem I can get to the department sites.   For example:

https://externalsp.company.com/depts/gisis/  should be the correct path, however, when I click on our link the I get the internal version in the address bar http://company.cloca.com/depts/gisis

I'm not sure if there's something we need to add to the either the paths or the link translation section of TMG or the AAM.  We currently have /* in the paths section and the link translation we have one entry : http:\/\/companysp.internet.company.com ->:https:\/\/externalsp.company.com

    AAM is configured as such:

    Zone

    Public URL for Zone

    http://companysp.company.com

    Default

    http://companysp.company.com

    http://externalsp.company.com

    Internet

    https://externalsp.company.com

    http://companysp.internet.company.com:8383

    Internet

    https://externalsp.company.com

    https://externalsp.company.com

    Internet

    https://externalsp.company.com

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Rod

  • This needs to be moved to the SharePoint 2007 area...

    Good luck

  • Found a solution to this :)

    Change your default Path to:

    https://externalsp.company.com                                                   https://externalsp.company.com

    Add Internal Path

    http://externalsp.company.com                                                     https://externalsp.company.com

    No need for link translation...

And you should be flying :)

Actually think I should write some more details on this hole setup.. Kinda saves a lot of time having it described :P
