Office service pack roll out RRS feed

  • Question

  • Morning all,

Having some issues understanding how to correctly roll out a service pack for office 2010 using WSUS on 2012 r2.

I have found the required KB from the MS catalog, I have downloaded it, but how do I then see where it is and if it has been installed / rolled out on my estate of computers in WSUS?

Do I need to run some kind of report? I thought I would be able to see the update under "service packs" but I cannot. Even when I select approved updates I cannot see the service pack.

Basically I need a way of finding out how many computer (if any) the office 2010 sp2 has been rolled out to.

    Many thanks

If you want to deploy Service Packs for Office 2010 for clients, then we may check "Office 2010" in production, check "Services" in classifications, then sync from Microsoft Update. If you want to filter all service packs update for office 2012 synced, then we may create a customer view:

If when sync, the related update doesn't come to WSUS server and you find it in Microsoft Update Catalog, then we may manually import the update into WSUS server:

If you want to see if clients has installed the update, then you may click update and check the report below:

    Best Regards,

    Anne
