Long-standing scrolling bug when using Power Query (multiple Excel versions) RRS feed

  • Question

  • There is a long-standing bug which disables the scroll wheel when clicking on a cell belonging to a power query.

This has been postulated to happen because the query pane steals focus, even if it's hidden from view.

    See previous thread:

In the last post in that thread someone posted a workbook with the bug, and I can confirm it's present (using the latest Office 365 Excel (16.0.7167.2060) . Someone at Microsoft, please take a look at that workbook, this bug has been active far too long.

  • Hi Will,

As David said in the thread you linked to, "We have been to reproduce the issue and are investigating, we believe the issue is isolated to Windows 7. If anybody can reproduce the issue on any other versions of Windows please let us know."

We've been aware of the issue for some time, but weren't able to reproduce it until a week or two ago, when David happened to notice it on a Win7 machine.
