  • Question

  • Here is my goal to get IBCM and Computer imaging working.

    Here is my configuration.

    One Primary site

Two servers of which one is the primary site server that have the management Point role installed

    20 servers as DP's

The primary site server client communication is set for https or http

The other management point I have setup as https only.  I'm pointing all my internet only IBCM clients (workgroup Laptops) at this Management point with a wildcard cert from our External CA provider and FQDN setup as well.   I have IBCM working but for some reason when I set the client communication on this MP to use HTTPS this breaks my computer imaging.  As I understand, this should not happen  Since my primary site should be able to handle http or https via client communication.

I have an internal CA I can utilize for internal/intranet clients also.

    Any thoughts on this.

Do I Need HTTPS across the board to get IBCM working and not interfere with computer imaging.

Here is the article i'm following.

    Thanks in advance

  • Here is how I got this all to work.

Certificate was the issue.  I was unaware that during the task sequence for imaging that the certificate was not specified in the task sequence ISO image.  I recreated ISO task sequence and pointed at the proper certificate and this solved the imaging issue.   I hope that is enough detail.

    Thanks

  • Torsten,

Thanks for responding but I just got this all working.  Now I have to switch gears and go from internet only clients to internet and intranet.  Just was notified of the change.  Hopefully, that won't be as cumbersome.

    Thanks

Have you ever read a reply like this when searching the internet? It would be great if you could provide some details in case others might find this thread ...
